Ashlie Schmitz grew up in the small town of Herrick, Illinois and came to Pana in 2007 when she got married.
Her career in long-term care began 20 years ago as a unit assistant and CNA. Over the years, she has served in a variety of long-term care roles before she became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 2018.
Ashlie joined Hickory Estates in August 2020 and is excited to be part of Hickory Estates’ first Memory Care facility. “I have always had a strong passion in caring for the elderly,” she says.
Ashlie also cares for her family of four very active boys at home. When she’s not at work, she’s committed to quality family time. Her family loves to spend time outdoors doing activities such as camping and cookouts.
